Nora: our tourist guide in Budapest
I introduce myself to you:
Hello, my name is Nóra Juhász. I was born in Budapest and today I live with my family in my hometown. I graduated in Economics and a couple of years I worked for an Italian company, Gruppo Inghirami, here in Hungary.

Today I work as a freelance tourist guide, i'm allowed to guide tourists all over Hungary. In past years I led among others, many groups of Boscolo Tours, Guinness and many of my private clients. I have now more than 13 years of experience in the tourism sector, and in collaboration with the site flatinbudapest I will try to give support to an increasingly large number of travellers that prefer the so-called "do it yourself".

Tourist information:
Budapest card - (ed Juhasz Nora):

This card has been running since 1997, it is a very good friend of tourists visiting Budapest in 2 or 3 days. The Budapest Card provides also free journeys to one child, under the age of 14, of the user. The services offered by the Budapest Card:
  • 1 - free only journeys on public transport in Budapest (BKV - trams, subway, trolley, bus), 48 hours or 72 hours - 1 adult and one child under the age of 14.

  • 2 - In museums, restaurants, shops, spas and various tourist and cultural programs, the Budapest card offers a 10-20% discount on the price.

  • 3 - discounts for restaurants, shops, car rentals, etc..

Price: 48 hours – 6.300 HUF / 72 hours - 7.500 HUF

The card includes a catalog of 100 pages (in 4 languages) with all relevant information about the use of the card and the facilities offered by different agencies. Budapest Card may be purchased in 250 locations across the capital:
- Hotels
- Travel agencies
- Tourist Information
- Airports
- Major subway ticket offices
- 16 foreign countries

We suggest to purchase the Budapest Card only to travelers who visit many monuments and museums during their stay. The entrances to museums and discounts offered by the Budapest Card for the various cultural institutions vary between € 1,00 to € 5,00 per person.

Many times it is better and costs less to take a tourist ticket (72 hours, costs 3400 HUF), which offers unlimited journeys on public transport and pay separately the admission ticket to museums.
